Yeram Kwak
Yeram Kwak (they/she) is an GTA based illustrator who is constantly inspired by the bold mark-making of lines and shapes made by playing with brushes. Using play and scribbles as the starting point, they focus on using digital media as an expressive medium to capture immediate emotions and using a variety of shapes to celebrate and accentuate the vast experiences of diverse communities. They have been recognized by the American Illustration, Applied Arts, and World Illustration Awards for her work, and have worked with clients such as the New York Times, University of Toronto, and the Walrus. Currently working as a part of the artist collective, the “TCK Club”, Yeram explores their personal experience as a Third Culture Kid and shares with the audience the ongoing search of one’s home and the shared experiences of juggling different cultural identities.
