Mike is a Toronto-based illustrator and designer. He loves bright colours, wonky patterns, and funny characters. Internet artifacts, obscure dreams, and vintage toys of forgotten characters inspire him. His process involves starting pieces traditionally and completing them with digital tools.

Poster Project
Three posters capture the distinct character of a flower shop, an art market, and a dog-walking service. Each poster is paired with a secondary design, including an Instagram carousel, a sticker sheet, and a business card.

Where do we belong? Do we feel lost? How do we go back home? This is a story in which a boy wakes up alone and returns home alone.





Despina
This illustration is based on Italo Calvino’s postmodern novel Invisible Cities. Focusing on the city Despina as seen from the dock, where strong breezes sweep through sails and flags.
