Meihong Liu
Meihong is an illustrator whose narrative work features highly saturated, warm colours and rich textures. Working primarily in digital media, she creates soft and expressive visual stories centred on characters and plants. She draws inspiration from children’s picture books and films. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with small animals and finds comfort in quiet moments alone.
Abel and the Seed
A fifteen-page picture book that explores themes of growth, loss, and renewal through a poetic narrative about a boy and a fast-growing seed. Uses soft, nature-focused illustrations for the children’s storytelling market.
Endangered Plants Postcard Series
A series of six postcards that use visual metaphors to reimagine the human body as rare and endangered plants. Explores the emotional connection between humans and nature.
In the Forest
A three-postcard illustration series that tells a continuous story about a girl finding emotional renewal in the forest. Across the images, her mood shifts from fatigue to calm.
