Katelyn grew up in the country around Lake Simcoe, where the number one thing to do for fun is explore. Whether camping, hiking, or swimming, she found joy in the new places she went. She wants people to be immersed in the environments lined with details to learn about the world within. Katelyn aspires to create tabletop games to help people of all ages learn and explore what the world has to offer.

Toxic Tonic

A card game of Ontario plants that can be harmful and beneficial, depending on how they are used. The game’s goal is to poison all the players while healing yourself so you are the last one standing and win the game. The game has two levels of difficulty, so ages seven and up can play the easier version, and ages twelve and up can play the harder version. The game is designed to help you memorize the effects of these plants so you can learn about the wildlife around you.

Ignite Your Faith

A series of paintings in the form of postcards. These acrylic paintings are based on bible verses that share a fire theme. Fire has been increasing in the news and our daily lives thanks to environmental changes, and it can feel overwhelming. This series brings a positive light on the good that fire can bring. These verses show that God uses fire in many ways: for communication, as metaphors, and to spread the word of God in new ways.

Solution

A book cover and spots for the speculative fiction novel Solution by Brian Evenson. In a world where climate change has rendered our planet uninhabitable, a doctor uses every means possible to save humanity from extinction, including altering human DNA.

Horror Sushi Game

A series of images that show the story of this horror sushi video game concept. A group of people run away from their island and wreck their ship. The survivor finds a raft with food and materials to keep them alive but soon find out that they have to feed what is in the water if they want to survive. The goal of the game is to escape the water filled with monsters by feeding them sushi until you get away.

Cheetah Ruins

A 3D model that demonstrates the basics from start to finish: sculpting, modelling, UV maps, shading, animation and rendering. The work was mostly created in Blender, except for textures completed in Procreate and Illustrator. Based on a personal story, this rough environment is an old but well-kept ruin with a cheetah motif.
