John is an illustrator who loves to create art filled with graphic linework along with vibrant and bold colours. John’s artwork reveals themes of the euphoria and complexity of being human and the experience of everyday “mundane” life.

Inner Monsters

A blind-box toy line concept depicting six different emotions represented through monsters. This project turns the negative concept of life’s complicated roller coaster of emotions into a relatable, positive, and fun set of toys that bring back the child-like wonder we lost while growing up.

Space Monsters

A space project that experiments with repeating forms and visual language. Limiting the illustration’s colours unifies the piece and draws attention toward the wordless narrative.

The Strongest of the Strange

A motion piece and visual narrative for Charles Bukowski’s poem “The Strongest of the Strange” (audio by Illneas). This interpretation expands the content of the poem and helps viewers grasp the narrative, which describes the passage of time and loss of self.

The Mallard Ducks and I

A collection of postcards that explore digital collage, patterns, colour combinations, and decorative elements. Showcased through the narrative of adventuring along a duck park in Mississauga.
