An environment design
based on near future sci fi and gothic architecture, exploring ways to combine the two aesthetics while retaining a mechanical look.
A scifi kettle
that combines aesthetics of an existing franchise with minimalistic future elements.
A spaceship design
using motifs from an episode of the Gundam series. The thrusters, shield, and overall shape dynamics take note from the erratic pacing of a particular episode.
Prop designs
based on combining gothic and scifi elements, using travelling and storage as the basis of function.
A Mars mining robot
designed for a near future setting where Mars and Earth undergo political conflict. The winding cables, bulky body fitted for digging underground, and slightly rounded shapes are a reflection of Earth’s tight grip on Mars searching for independence.
A version of near-future scifi Hong Kong
focusing on mall exteriors, spaces of travel, and growing wealth, mirroring the prosperity of Hong Kong’s post-WW2 financial success. Inspired by travels I took a few years back, and conversations between family.
