Emily Tang

Emily is a Toronto-based illustrator and concept artist. Born into a first-generation Chinese household, she had the opportunity to explore many paths of interest, falling in love with art at a young age.

Since childhood, Emily has been inspired by games, films, and graphic novels. Her goal is to bring creativity to any project and make a meaningful impact on others the same way she once was.

With a passion for capturing the charm and beauty of her subjects, Emily continues to explore various digital techniques and styles to bring characters and stories to life.

In her personal time, she enjoys reading comics and novels, playing games, spending time with loved ones, and getting absorbed into random hyper-fixations.

Phylpyras

A concept art and game design project following the adventure of three characters, Baiyu, Eira, and Izik. Working for the Crlythos association, they are tasked with restoring and protecting the temple core in the four cities. Problems persist as they need to fight off monsters from unknown sources invading the cities, borders and outskirts.

The Snow Lion

A concept art and key illustration project inspired by the mythological creature, The Snow Lion, a well-known divine symbol of Tibet. The six illustrated scenes follow the Snow Lion’s role as a guardian for the Buddhas and the people of Tibet: healing with its palms, fighting off a sky dragon, and soaring through the air.

Sai Snack

A blind-box series that follows the concept creation of eight characters with animal counterparts, packaging and character cards. The characters are based on popular snacks from Hong Kong that Emily enjoyed during childhood. In the world they live in, the characters help to run a small Asian market, all assigned to complete different tasks
