Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix

This illustrated scroll is inspired by the Chinese myth of a Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix. The scroll visualizes a story of gratitude, transformation, and collective harmony through a sequence of illustrated scenes. The project aims to make Chinese mythology more accessible to a global audience while exploring the role of illustration in storytelling and cross-cultural communication.

MBTI

This project explores personality through a series of character illustrations based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Five Chinese Elements—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The work bridges Western psychology and Eastern philosophy, offering a culturally layered interpretation of identity. The project highlights how illustration can translate abstract concepts into engaging visual storytelling for educational and creative contexts.

Invisible City

This project takes a surrealistic approach to exploring the concept of “Invisible Cities,” inspired by the writing of Italo Calvino.

Through dramatic perspective and atmospheric lighting, the city appears both tangible and illusory, inviting viewers to question perception, memory, and the unseen connections that shape urban space.

The Legend of the Snake

Inspired by the Chinese legend The White Snake, this work explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the tension between the human and supernatural worlds. The use of flowing forms and symbolic elements enhances the narrative atmosphere, while the lighting emphasizes the emotional connection between the figures.
