Hello! I’m April, an illustrator with a particular interest in painting, textures, and mark-making. Recently, I’ve also been really enthralled by fish. I hope my work can bring you a sense of escape and sincerity!
Outside of crafting images, I also like making zines, collecting knickknacks, and staring intensely into the middle distance.
FISHSIMILE
A fish facsimile. Something that looks like a fish, but is not a fish. Fishsimile explores this concept through a booklet of object entries and ephemera.
SPARK
How far are you willing to go to recover something you’ve lost? An experiential story about clutter and diverging paths.
TRANSPORTATION TRANSFORMATION
Take some tomato slices, a ladle, a delivery boy; give them a good mix, and BAM! You have yourself a noble mode of transport! Inspired by my enthusiasm for DIY, this booklet is a little intro manual into Transportation Transformation.
MODERN FANTASY HIJINKS & SHENANIGANS
A couple of children’s illustrations depicting the daily hijinks of a low-fantasy world. They may have access to nifty powers and magic, but these kids still have to get through school!
