Ali Brew

Ali has three main interests: art, books, and video games. Instead of having a work-life balance, she decided to combine all three into her illustration career. She works primarily in narrative and concept art, drawing inspiration from history, mythology, and folktales. She creates and visualizes vivid stories, worlds, and characters that others will connect with.

A set of book illustrations for the horror short story by Priya Sharma where an abducted child’s sister is haunted by a creepy figure who may or may not exist.

Halcyon Ends
Concept art pitch for an RPG fantasy video game that combines elements of the Mesozoic period with the Wild West era. The story follows the protagonist Quincy Mae and her posse as they journey to collect the artifact rumoured to stop an asteroid fated to cause their extinction.

The Bounty Hunter

The City of Webs
Visualizing the world of Octavia, based on Italo Calvino’s postmodern novel Invisible Cities.  Grimy, rotting city structures hang from a foundation of chains and ropes that dangle between two mountains.

The Milky Ways
Various tales of how the Milky Way came to be according to different cultures. These pieces tell the stories of ancient Babylon, the Māori people, the Pawnee people, and the Kaurna people.
