Amy Kim
My name is Amy and I am an illustrator based in Toronto, Ontario. Inspired by cute and charming tales, as well as dark, dreadful stories, the illustrations I like to make are sweet, with a touch of bittersweet. When not drawing, I like to play games, relax and daydream.
The game
starts out with the character on a patient chair, with wires hooked up to their headpiece and technician doctors looking over and making sure the operation is in good condition to proceed.
This scene
is right before the character is transported into the digital realm. The last moments of contemplation before fully transitioning over to the other world.
This scene
is a transitional frame of the character, in front of the computer screen, about to play a game. You can see cameos of small figurines that allude to a bigger collection in the later scenes.
Here,
you can see the obsessions and hobbies that this character has with fictional media. A more in depth, environmental storytelling of where the character’s priorities are currently at.
The POV
of signing into a role playing game, the loading screen is buffering to allow the character to escape into the game.
