My name is Maya, nice to meet you 🙂 I am a Canadian illustrator who works with bold colours and graphic shapes to create illustrations that pack a punch. POW!

My area of interest is in character work, the human figure, and portraiture for editorial, publishing, and concept work. My greatest inspiration for illustrating is emotion, and as a result, I can depict a variety of moods across my work.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bella Can’t Draw

A picture book dedicated to children who feel self-conscious about their hobbies. The story follows a young girl named Bella as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery to realize why she truly loves drawing. This book encourages kids to keep doing what they love despite their inner or outer critics and sends a powerful message on how comparison is often the thief of joy.

Calendar Couture

A 2027 seasonal calendar depicting characters in fun outfits that correspond to their season. This project explores fun, functionality, and fashion by bringing new life to a bedroom or office staple.

Woman Wild

A blind box series featuring decorative figurines. Each box contains one of three characters, each inspired by a specific animal. The goal of this project was to focus on inclusivity and conceptual ways to incorporate each character’s animal into their design, both anatomically and through wardrobe.

Choice

A series of editorial illustrations depicting the importance of women’s access to safe reproductive health resources.
