Ryleigh Holm
Ryleigh Holm is a proud non-binary artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. They create mixed-media illustrations using their skills in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and traditional media. They hope to specialize in book illustration, editorial, concept art, and any other kinds of illustration they can get their grubby charcoal-stained hands on!
A.A Milne’s Winnie the Pooh Reimagined
Using “Winnie the Pooh: Chapter 8,” In which Christopher Robin leads an “expedition to the North Pole,” I illustrated five images to accompany the original 1926 short story. My favourite work to date in tribute to one of my more treasured childhood characters!
Sisyphus and the Boulder Zine
This Zine is a non-linear narrative exploration that uses the myth of Sisyphus in a charming literal representation of the infuriating cyclical nature of life and chronic mental health struggles.
Pathways
Over time—and through the act of remembering—our memories fade, warp, change, or corrupt to reflect something not altogether matched to the real events. These illustrations embrace the whimsy and beauty of memories, carving their way across new and old neural pathways of the brain.
